Coody Inflatable Tents

What is an inflatable tent?

An inflatable tent replaces rigid poles with reinforced air beams. These air columns form a structure that is both strong and flexible, inflating in minutes: no poles to assemble or thread into the fabric.

How long does it take to set up a Coody tent?

With an electric pump, most Coody tents inflate in 5 to 10 minutes. With the included hand pump, it takes a little longer depending on the size of the tent. Even the largest models are generally set up, secured, and ready in 30 minutes.

Are Coody tents waterproof?

Yes. Coody tents are designed for outdoor use in all weather: technical blended cotton fabric with a waterproof rating of approximately PU2000+, taped seams, and a rainfly on most models for enhanced protection.

What does the waterproof rating (hydrostatic head) mean?

The hydrostatic head measures in millimeters the water pressure the fabric can withstand before allowing moisture to pass through: 1,000-2,000 mm for light showers, 2,000-3,000 mm for moderate rain, 3,000-4,000 mm for heavy rain, and over 4,000 mm for extreme conditions.

What materials are Coody tents made from?

Most Coody tents use a technical blended cotton fabric (35% cotton / 65% polyester), which is more breathable and comfortable than 100% synthetic fabrics. Depending on the model, reinforced PVC air columns, a highly durable PVC groundsheet, and clear TPU windows are also included.

Do inflatable tents withstand wind?

Yes. Properly inflated and secured with its guy ropes and pegs, an inflatable tent performs very well in wind: the air structure absorbs gusts by flexing and then returning to its shape, whereas rigid poles can break.

Can an inflatable tent "explode" in high heat?

Coody air columns are designed for outdoor use and include pressure-related safety features depending on the model. Air expands with heat: simply avoid over-inflating the tent in direct sunlight and release some pressure on very hot days.

Can I leave my tent inflated for several days?

Yes, Coody tents are designed for extended stays. Pressure naturally varies between day and night with temperature: this is normal. Simply check the pressure from time to time and readjust if necessary.

Are Coody tents 4-season?

Yes, Coody tents are designed for year-round use: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The breathable cotton fabric remains comfortable in warm weather and retains heat in cold weather.

Are Coody tents suitable for hot countries?

Yes. The blended cotton fabric breathes better than synthetic fabrics, which limits condensation and internal heat. Coody groundsheets also limit heat rising from the ground, and mosquito nets ensure ventilation.

Choosing the right tent

Which Coody tent should I choose?

It all depends on the number of people, your camping style, and the available space: the 5.8 and Yustona for solo campers and mobile couples, the 8.0 and 10.0 for couples and small families, the 13.6 and Familia 17.2 for families, the Hub Shelter and Dome for groups and glamping. If in doubt, contact us: we will advise you based on your situation.

What is the difference between standard and PRO models?

PRO versions are reinforced upgrades: improved materials, more durable construction, comfort details, and extended modularity (zips compatible between PRO models). They are designed for intensive use and long stays. Exact differences are detailed on each product page.

Are Coody accessories compatible with all tents?

Not always. Carpets, groundsheets, rainflies, tarps, and connectors are often specific to a model. Check the compatibility indicated on each product page before ordering.

Do I need an electric pump?

It's not mandatory: most tents include a hand pump. But an electric pump (GR-119P or GR-133P) makes setup much faster and easier, especially for large tents — it's the accessory we recommend as a priority.

Do I need an inner carpet?

The carpet is optional but highly recommended for comfort: 13mm soft cotton, insulation from the cold ground, and a true glamping touch. Each carpet is cut to fit its tent model.

What is the rainfly for?

The main fabric provides structure, comfort, and breathability; the rainfly adds an extra layer of protection against heavy rain, UV rays, and dirt. We recommend using it in rainy weather, direct sunlight, and for long stays.

Contents and accessories

What is included with a Coody tent?

The exact contents depend on the model (detailed on each product page), but most tents include: the tent body, rainfly, a hand pump, pegs, guy ropes, and a repair kit.

Is the pump included?

Most Coody tents include a hand pump. Electric pumps are sold separately and are highly recommended for quick setup.

Are carpets included with the tents?

No, inner carpets and groundsheets are sold separately. They are custom-cut for each tent model.

Use and maintenance

How do I fold the tent back into its bag?

Take your time and ensure all the air is expelled. Once the tent is folded, roll it up using the rigid elements as an axis: their weight helps to push out any remaining air, and the tent returns to its original volume.

How do I store my tent between uses?

Always clean and perfectly dry. If you had to pack it damp, unpack it and let it dry as soon as possible to prevent mold and odors. Store it in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight, raised off the ground, and inspect it occasionally.

How do I clean my Coody tent?

With lukewarm water and a soft cloth or brush. Avoid aggressive detergents, bleach, high-pressure cleaners, and chemicals, which can damage the fabric's treatments.

Can I camp in winter with a Coody tent?

Yes, many Coody models are suitable for 4-season camping when used correctly: insulating cotton fabric, carpets to cut out ground cold, and a stove jack on some models for stove use.

Can I use a wood stove in my tent?

Some Coody models feature a dedicated stove jack with thermal protection. For safe use: use an insulated flue at the fabric pass-through, a spark arrestor, and ensure ventilation. Not all models are stove compatible: check the product page before purchasing.

What should I do if an air beam punctures?

Punctures are rare: the air columns are protected by reinforced sleeves. Each tent comes with a repair kit, and replacement air columns are available — contact us if needed.
